I appreciated the real-life experience and knowledge in public administration the professor brought to the class.

One of the most enjoyable classes of the program. Very real and valuable.

Great class. I learned about strategic management and the process. I felt that the parallel process of completing the in-class and out-of-class assignments was helpful in understanding the concepts. I loved the class and all the tips!

Though the text offers a thorough treatment of the course topic, I hated it until chapter 7 & 10 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Will read again. Good and have instructors like Bryce — with real county experience. Great professor.

I loved this curse and it was organized, perfectly. The pace of the class made the feel like truly understood the concept.

It would be helpful if student provided “grades” for their “group partners” as an incentive for all to participate equally. All though it is true we can not pick who we work with we also have recourse to go to our coworkers supervisor when people are not performing.

Professor Yokomizo is an outstanding professor. Through all the courses I have taken with him, I walk away from them confident that I have the knowledge to be a more effective manager and leader. The Tseng College/CSUN are very lucky to have him as a practitioner professor because he is not only well known and respected at Los Angeles County for his leadership skills, I truly believe he is an asset for the MPA program.

Professor Yokomizo is an understanding, fantastic professor. However, the 620 courses in this MPA program need better professors like Yokomizo.

It’s Yokomizo. If you don’t know if that’s a good thing, you’re not reading these properly. In other words, Bryce is awesome, engaging, and a good role model to follow for any Public Administrator.

I believe this is my first evaluation where I have marked “very descriptive” in all categories. This class was very informative. In particular, I really appreciate the practice interview assignment, as it was quite helpful for real-world insight. Thank you!

Mr. Yokomizo was exceptionally brilliant on the subject and articulated it clearly. His energy and enthusiasm is genuine and can be visibly seen. I wish we had him on few other studies. I definitely will recommend him and he was a county employee and knew the county very well.

It would be helpful to provide a sample strategic plan so that we have a better understanding of the final paper.

Professor has a great attitude throughout the course. While it was tough having all of the assignment and all of the grade on the last day of class, I did appreciate the professor providing checkpoints on the group project, via presentations, since that clarified questions I had.

I really enjoyed this class. The professor was outstanding, very personable and gave real life advise for all students to apply in life and in work career.

While I enjoyed most of professor Yokomizo’s teaching strategy, I wish there were more grades, say per presentation (since there were not a lot of assignments to turn in. This would help for students to better understand their standing throughout the course.

In my experience in the MPA program thus far, Instructor Yokomizo was beyond an excellent teacher. His lectures were informative yet easy to read and understand. He was very enthusiastic about the topic he taught. He shared his experiences, which made the material more applicable and easy to relate to; meaningful.
